He's Fire/Water type, which generally results in failure and steam whenever he tries to attack. Oh, and hopefully he's more dense than Wailord, as that fellow is somehow less dense than hydrogen gas.

Also, that is somewhat terrifying.

:kaukau: Less dense than Hydrogen gas? Actually, oxygen could be less dense than hydrogen if only it were heated up enough. The density of a gas is subject to its heat, so I suppose that Wailord must also use some sort of heat to keep it afloat.

Of course, this is Pokemon, which is pretty much on the bottom rung of soft vs. hard sci-fi.

I read that calculation for Wailord a while ago, so I don't remember too specifically, but I assume it meant at STP. Either way, there's no way Wailord should be able to swim or even use Dive.

Ok, I just ran the calculations again estimating Wailord to be and cylinder with a radius of 18ft, it height being 47 feet 7 inches based off of his pokedex entry. With a weight of 877.4lbs, also told by the pokedex. Apparently he is more dense than hydrogen. (It was late yesterday when I tried figuring that out.)

Wailord's Density = 0.29018 g/l

Hydrogen's Density = 0.0899 g/L

Helium's Density = 0.1785 g/L

Lithium's Density = 0.534 g/L

Air at STP = 1.297 g/L

So his density is still right between the second and third lest dense elements, which are gases, so the general point still goes through.

Wailordium = 2.5th least dense element.

(Note, he was later corrected that Lithium is a solid at room temperature)

So, Wailord shouldn't even be able to remain at roughly ground level.

WAILURE, on the other hand, is probably a ghost, so that ignores all physics.
