I still don't understand why more people don't find it to be the most useful button ever.

I wonder of you can Adblock the button...

 

I honestly do not know where this button is so it is neither useful nor annoying for me.

Useful for what, though? Why do I want something which I haven't read marked as read? Or maybe I'm just missing the point of the button.

 

It's at the bottom of the site, right next to another useful one you can't see yet.

Because maybe there's a ton of things you don't want to read, so you want your forum view cleared up? So instead of having the gray faces intermingled with the colored faces (which is just unsightly), it's all clear what is actually new for this visit. By using the button, you know for sure that all of those new posts are actually new and not just ones you didn't want to read from before.

Well, I guess I simply never knew how to make good use of it.

I agree, I love that button, I know longer have to deal with stuff in forums I want to read, being clogged up by other Topics I don't care about. By clicking marked as read, I can now see whenever an update is made to that topic via the forum, as opposed to obsessive clicking through.

LOL just clicked it again. I think it's when I click the middle mouse button to scroll up. For some reason, my cursor likes to end up hovering the button when I happen to click.
