Quick tip for colouring a hand-drawn comic

Take your time.

Rushing will only lead to uneven colouring, lack of depth in both colour and shading, and inconsistencies. Trust me on that. It's better if you do it panel by panel, and take breaks in between. Like, 30 minutes for one panel, a break of 15 minutes or more, then the next panel. (time's estimated, it depends on your colouring style ;) )

:kaukau: I have to agree with you there, especially with two-dimensional textures. it's definitely different, of course, when you're into a lot of shading and defining shapes through tones, although that's a style more commonly seen in graphic novels, not simple comics.
