Although I also blame the umps--that infield fly call was terrible. Were there replacement umps also?

I'm pretty sure the only reason that the protest was denied was due to the crammed schedule. Having to replay a bit of the game, then coordinate the travel schedule around that, was too much.

 

Plus, there's too much TV money in all this. MLB wouldn't do anything to tick off revenue.
