Yeah; fingerless gloves are nice in design; however, they aren't quite so practical for keeping your fingers warm as full gloves. =P That makes sense though, especially the time you don't wear a glove; you need to have full control over your pencil when drawing or writing, otherwise, things look very bad. =/

They have mittens where the finger part folds down and there's fingerless gloves underneath. Seems like a good idea if you can find some.

@Bfa: I've considered those, but to what extent would the mitten half of it limit how much I could move and use my fingers for various tasks?

Well, whales seem to not have a problem with unusable fingers...
