No More Videos
In an accident while deleting obsolete programmes, I deleted Adobe Flash Player from my laptop.
Wise move, I can't watch online videos unless I download them and I do not need to lose space on this laptop. I may need a larger hard disk for this laptop.
But, it was a blessing in disguise.
While everyone else in class was browsing the video sites and watching young music talent surpassing their own talent, I found myself unable to do that.
Instead, during that break, I took up a notebook and went around asking people for help in assignments and future projects.
As polytechnic goes, each module must load you with one assignment or else it's not worth being taught to you. I have 7 modules, so it's 7 assignments. Then there are the extra tasks outside: being a music critic (where I have just finished my reviews), a Peer Mentor, a volunteer to the polytechnic's showcase to high schoolers, my second diploma, an orientation camp to plan for, a gig to prepare for...
I'm a very busy lady.
But, during that period of time, I managed to focus on a few assignments at a time and get some work sorted out on them.
The rest of the guys, well, were still glued to the little teevees on the screen.
I've now got a step ahead of the others, and I'm not going to give it up easily.
So long, little teevees. Won't miss you.
