Nothing has gotten me into more trouble in discussions than jumping to conclusions.

Please, wait until you have solid evidence to say someone is doing/saying/etc. X, and just stick to conjecture and theoretical statements until you get the aforementioned proof. I speak from experience when I say nothing will blow up in your face and leave it covered in egg faster than jumping to a conclusion that ends up false. Even if it's something as minor as the Superbowl.
