Then you, my good fellow, are missing out. Awesome Games Done Quick is a very successful, very entertaining speedrunning marathon for charity. They so AGDQ in winter and SGDQ in summer. The site is here and the SGDQ 2014 schedule here.

The best part is that the speedrunners commentate their game very well, making their speedruns even more impressive than all the mad skillz and glitches would be otherwise. Just Youtube some past AGDQ/SGDQ speedruns- whatever game franchise/genre you're into, it'll be there. The Ocarina of Time any% speedruns are a nice place to start, it's only a 20-minute run nowadays. I'd highly recommend Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Super Metroid, or Pokemon runs.

OoT, to me, is the quintessential speedrunning game. So many cool categories, just enough glitches, just enough difficulty. Not that I can pull any of it off, but it's pretty much the perfect balance of brilliant game design and exploits.
