This usually happens when you accidentally click outside the text field (or hit a key like "tab" that takes you out of the text field) while you're typing. And I agree, it sucks!

Nowadays some websites like Facebook will send up a warning message asking "are you sure you want to leave this page?" before you leave a page that you've started typing into. That would be a cool feature for BZPower to implement.

Yep. You have no idea how many pms (and long ones, at that!) I already lost by accidentally hitting backspace in an unfortunate moment. ._.

I've had this problem, too. But don't BZP posts have something of a 'save' feature, where if you accidently leave the page while you're typing, you can bring the post back up? At least I thought I've seen that. I don't on this post, though.

I would be all for this.

The save feature doesn't always work, but when it does, I still rage because why does backspace do that

I see the 'last auto saved: ##:##:##' thing all the time. Except I can never find whatever you click to find what has been saved.

You click the words "last autosaved" im pretty sure

In my experience Chrome usually does a good job of actually saving your text fields so you can go forward again and be at the same spot.
