The tenth thought is a narcissist.

No, it isn't. It's not even alive. It can't have feelings. It's a thought I stole from somebody's mind.

1. Personally I preferred the grey. It helped that the bright colors of the Phantoka stood out against the grey, whereas the silver of the Mistika practically overpowered the darker primary colors of those sets. As a result, the Phantoka's color schemes were far more interesting.

2. Because they're icky. And have sharp, pointy teeth. And they tend to jump around a lot, as opposed to just scuttling across the ground. And they operate in swarms.

3. Space is not the most interesting setting, and is too far removed from the mysticism and atmosphere that defined Bionicle even as it became more and more sci-fi. Hero Factory, on the other hand, spent a decent amount of time in space.

1. Why was the Mistika's Silver so hated but not the excessive Grey of the Phantoka? If anything, the silver is much, much more preferable to the grey. 

 

I highly disliked both. I would have rathered their color schemes NOT be dominated by neutral colors. (Well, Kopaka and Onua have no choice, but you know what I mean. I like exciting, vibrant color schemes, like the Mata had.)

You forgot one important point — Skull Spiders are huge. They're not puny little bugs that you can squish under the toe of your boot. Rather, they're bigger than the villagers' heads! It's kind of like asking "why doesn't anybody simply try stepping on a feral cat to kill it?" Maybe in Super Mario Land that'd work, but probably not in real life, let alone on Okoto.

No, it's "Greg doesn't understand physics, so anything he says about that is nonsense. As such, we don't have a definitive answer on the subject, only speculation and a maze of contradictions caused by an author who doesn't understand physics."
