Avohkah Tamer Posted May 15, 2007 Wow! I wonder why that happened... Most Flash and picture ads are possible to be blocked by my browser plugin, but I can't get those pesky Google ones. You must have a cooler computer than mine. XD ~ Edit: 0_o I'm a fast replier. Must be my fast RSS reader. It was our internet provider having a problem loading images. We missed all the other pictures, but didn't mind being Google-ad-free. Quote Link to comment
Spampire Posted May 15, 2007 Oh, so it isn't about the post... Ok, well then... it stillll just goes to show we have topics about everything here. Or at least the capability to make a topic about everything. Quote Link to comment
dviddy Posted May 15, 2007 If you use Firefox, there's an extension that allows you to block ALL ads, including ALL banners. I haven't seen the Google ads in weeks. <<DV>> No Google ads in weeks!? *Faints.* Quote Link to comment

I already have Adblock, and that works great for blocking ads I don't want, but keeping ads someone theoretically would want. Quote Link to comment
~Po~ Posted May 15, 2007 Lucky... I'm stuck with "Gulf Hurricane Relief" right as I am typing this post... I really wouldn't mind if they died... That would be cool. Quote Link to comment

-Dr. Horrible- Posted May 15, 2007 Huh, right now I have "Auto Insuranse Lead" floating above Turakii's blog. EDIT: now I got top eight diets above the blog. What's ironic, is that I'm eating a pudding-whipped cream-cake right now. Yeah. ~Konta~ Quote Link to comment
Nikira Posted May 15, 2007 I don't get any blocked. ;; There's some weird ads that pop up around here. >< ~Nikira Quote Link to comment
frankin-kal-96 Posted May 15, 2007 They were gone as I was reading these, but now I've got one of those "chemistry" ads. EDIT: Wha-? Where'd the link go? Quote Link to comment
gifboy99 Posted May 16, 2007 If you know how to use it, Internet Explorer gives you the option to restrict access to certain websites that you can specify. I blocked out the google ad and haven't seen it since. It's as if the ad was never even there. Quote Link to comment
Macku: Toa of Bubbles Posted May 16, 2007 Does that still allow you to use the Google search engine, though? I usually use Opera, but I put NoScript onto my Mozilla and gave it a test drive. It worked beautifully. Maybe I'll use that browser for BZP. I'll have to look at the settings to make sure it won't block anything I want to see, though. Toa Macku Quote Link to comment
