Option 1: Make a blue/white control deck that freezes everything they do.

 

Option 2: Play Cancel or Negate every turn.

 

Option 3: "Scry" for free.

 

Option 4: Don't trade any cards, even the ones you don't want, because they're "too good".

 

Or, combine all of those and no one will ever want to play MTG with you again!

Well, they're usually okay with that by itself, but my strategy always involves cancelling EVERYTHING, and what I can't cancel gets frozen with Arrest or Pacifism.

Update: Now I know how it feels; my friend used a red burn spell on my Alhammaret: High Arbiter. Then, he proceeded to pull him from the graveyard and onto the battlefield under his control with a black instant. He got to activate Alhammaret's ability, and guess what I had in my hand? 2 of my copies of Cancel.
