As you may have read recently (see entry "I hope he Lives"), my lizard, Spikey, was stuck under an oven. My mom took him out of his terrarium and put him on the floor. It took him all of two seconds to find the warmest place in the kitchen. Long story short, my dad was able to slide one of my old toys under the oven. Spikey bit the toy and hung on for his life. My dad was then able to pull him out.

We were all pretty happy that Spikey was alive (especially my dog Zeus, who shares a special connection with Spikey).

Unfortunately, in Spikey's failed attempts to escape, he did something bad. Spikey has a very.... interesting way of dealing with things. Mostly involving flailing his tail wildly in the hope that that will somehow let him "win". He didn't win. Spikey's tail-flailing resulted in several injuries (he can flail hard). His spine is fractured in two places. He has lost the use of his back legs.
