Our Next Secretary of State

:kaukau: He's not officially confirmed yet, but it looks like our next Secretary of State will be Rex Tillerson. I don't know much about him, but I do have a superficial opinion.

Here's my opinion: Rex is a cool name. Can you imagine what life must have been like for him in high school? His teammates on the sports team must have absolutely loved him. "Yo REX!" they must have shouted. It's a winner's name, alright. You treat someone named Rex like they're the boss, like a complete champ.

Which brings me to the names that I would consider for a baby girl. I've said before on this blog, I would consider the name Tyrannosaurus Rex. I have a preference for Amazonian women, as in women who are around 6'6", so chances are that if I were to have a daughter, she'd be really tall. And if I marry someone who prefers uncommon names that stand out, this is the only one that I'd consider. Because if you're going to be uncommon and interesting, you might as well go all of the way. My baby girl named Tyrannosaurus Rex would be made fun of initially, but people would also begin treating her with reverence and gravitas after a while. Sure, she'd initially be insecure about it, but she'd eventually come to embrace it. She'd be cooler than everyone else. She'd inevitably become an alpha female, and get into leadership positions. If you're going to have pick a captain for your basketball team, are you going to go with the 6'6" alpha female named Tyrannosaurus Rex or the 5'8" weakling named Kelsi? People would innitially find her name weird, but they would eventually come to find her magnetic and likable, because how can you dislike someone named T. Rex? There's something awesome about it. You want to hang out with that person.

And who knows, maybe one day she'd become Secretary of State. All because her life got off to a good start, since people treated her like an alpha female.

I believe someone on this site said that he'd name a kid Megatron someday. I sincerely hope that he does. I absolutely would not make fun of that name and take it completely seriously.

It should be noted that other than Tyrannosaurus Rex, I pretty much like bland, normal names. Like Mary, Anne, Catherine, Faith, Hope, Charity, Joy, Grace, Rebecca, and Sarah. I'm about as imaginative as a Puritan.

See, now, that last line turns me on to the idea of you having 3 or 4 daughters. 'Cause then, every night, it'd be like:

"Goodnight, Mary Anne."

"Goodnight, daddy!"

"Goodnight, Catherine Grace."

"'Night, Pa!"

"Goodnight, Tyrannosaurus Rex."

"RAAAAAAAAAWWWWRH"

Fun fact, Rex is short for Rexanna, and he INSISTS you call him that. He's even got this inside joke where he prentends to get really angry when you call him that, but he definitely wants to be called Rexanna no matter what you hear.
