I swear- that number is following me!

First I read it on a sign, then in a book I'm reading (no, not the page number), then I notice that it's part of my dog's tag number, then it's our room number in the hotel we're staying in. Seriously, it's really weird.

Also, you know that horror movie coming out soon called "1408"?

1+4=5

5x8=40

1+0=10

10|5=2

40+2=42

Of course, it takes a rambling lunatic to think of that.
