Does anyone else find it interesting that the Summer Solstice seems to be a ubiquitous celebration (to judge by the numerous blog entries around here about it), while the Winter Solstice and Vernal and Autumnal Equinoces are virtually ignored?

Seeing as I've made entries for the former two of the above three, I absolutely had to make one for the Summer Solstice. I have nothing to say about it, however, except that it would be most interesting to have a full moon the night afterward...

Now that I'm generally back to normal (I ate a sandwich for lunch today; it was an adventure), I might as well get around to the stuff I've been meaning to do this summer. CG a picture of Hahli Mahri, finish some other drawings and pieces of writing, continue (dare I attempt to finish?) QfLD...

Thank goodness! I thought I was the only one...

Do you even know what ubiquitous means?

Cuz I don't.

Everywhere. "Ubique" is everywhere in Latin (I think). I know ubique is a word, at least... has something to do with where things are...

Anyway. YAY FOR SUMMER!

I never notice the solstice. BUT YAY FOR SUMMER =D

The summer solstice signals the beginning of summer. I particularly dislike the autumnal equinox, which signals the end. The winter solstice is nothing more than a celebration of the cold, and it being cold outside ought to be a crime punishable by death (I'm not sure whose). The vernal equinox is OK... I guess. It's still moderately cold in the beginning of spring though. And it's wet. I dislike wetness almost as much as I HATE the cold. Which is a lot.

But summer is warm. Me like warm.
