Comics, Comics, Comics.

GMan

Sorry I haven't been around lately. Most of my time, I've been reading comics, reading graphic novels, reading comic books, reading up on comics, and most importantly, watching shows based on comics. After I watched Superman: The Animated Series Season 3 several weeks ago before I got out of school, I decided I wanted to get the other two seasons. The biggest reasons being several episodes. The first season two-part episode 'The Main Man' is a hilarious one featuring Lobo, a lot of cool aliens, and a cameo by Starro, and the second season has the episode 'The Hand of Fate' where Superman and Dr. Fate fight against an ancient Lovecraftian entity out to transform mankind into his demon servants. Also, in the first episode of STAS, Jor-El ran into a monster called a 'shoggot', that was a giant bacteria-protozoan thingy. So anyways, when school got out, I soon busied myself by reading lots of superhero stuff. Got graphic novels out of the library, reread ones I owned, and whatnot. I decided that I wanted to get some Justice League DVDs. So I went to Wal-Mart the first week school was out, but only succeeded in finding Justice League Unlimited Season 2, which I bought. Good season. Anyways, I went to Target later that week, but only found Batman Beyond: Season Three. Since I'd wanted it for a while, I bought and watched it. I then re-watched Seasons one and two, and at the Rockingham Mall up in New Hampshire, in the FYE store's DVD section, I found Superman Season 1 and Season 2. I was re-rewatching Batman Beyond's seasons by then, but three fourths through season 2 (which had 26 episodes) I watched Superman Season 1. Then I finished watching BB Season Two and watched BB Season Three again. Then I watched Season 2. Man, that was great.

I also have the awesomest ever idea for Superheroes... It's really detailed and I've come up with dozens of characters and plotted it out in my head...

I recently bought volumes three and five of [Mike Mignola's Likely Best-Known Work] from a Borders Express at the mall at the same time I got the Superman DVDs, and I was hooked on it. I ordered volumes 1, 2, and 4 from Amazon, and now that I've read them all I'm rereading them. I'll get stuff like the sixth volume, and the volumes BPRD later. Dang though, Mignola's creations are awesome. Very. Also, he did the Elseworlds story The Doom That Came To Gotham...

The issues haven't been collected in graphic novel format yet. I haven't read it yet either. But I saw the cover and read a small description of the plot (which I'm not bothering to write here for you since I don't want to) and it's got Mignola's signature awesomosity levels.
