The Kits That You Will Use

After much procrastination, the second part of How to Comic.

How to Comic

Kits

Ok, so you've figured out why you're going to comic, so its time to get started making your comic. Wait, first you need some sprites So you head over to artwork II, but your overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices you have. The purpose of this section is to give you a through evaluation of the kits on the market and to help you choose which kit is right for you. But first, let's go over what you should be looking for in a kit.

There are three things that you need to be concerned about when choosing a kit: Emotion, Poses, and Presentability.

First, Emotion. Emotion is perhaps the less important of the three, but is still vital. Emotion mainly pertains to how you can manipulate the eyes so as to form emotions. Emotion adds a lot, and I mean a lot, of impact into your comics and jokes. To prove to you how important emotion is, when I started off with the Bio-Illogical Chronicles I was hesitant to use the Rayg kit due to the lack of emotion.

Second, Poses. Poses are yet again vital to your comics. It's kinda boring to watch people stand around the whole time cracking jokes. Without good poses, your comics become little more than a bland snapshot rather than a dynamic entity.

Last and most important, Presentability. I kid you not, presentability determines whether or not your comic fails or is successful. It doesn't matter if you have the best jokes ever with a different pose in every frame, if your sprites are an eyesore, then no one will read your comics.

Kit #1: Bioniplush 2.0

Artists: Dokuma

Pros: A decent array of Toa and Rackshi poses. Some Turaga and Matoran poses. Plenty of emotion. Cute.

Cons: Due to cuteness, hard to use for serious stuff. Walking and jumping poses look akward. Would look weird on anything other than a two tone background.

My Opinion: A good kit for funny comics. Besides a few somebacks that are easily dealt with, a sold kit to use.

Kit #2: Chimoru Omega(also know as the Dark709 kit)

Artist: Dark 709

Pros: A semi-decent selection of matoran poses, you can use Paint's default colors for easy recoloring

-No flaming. - Shine-

Kit#4:The RZ Kit

Artist: RZ, with contributions by MK, TA, and EXO.

Pros: Good emotions. You can make any pose you can dream of. Decent built in effects. Nice selection of masks.

Cons: Only matoran poses. Maker is banned and his life got flipped, turned upside down.

Kit#7: Rayg 2.5

Artist: Rayg

Pros: Realistic, lots of poses

Cons:Hard to convey emotion.

So there you have it. Four kits and my views on them. Treat them as lawl.

I think you should have put in the Razor kit it's an old-school favourite and is still used frequently in comics.

The only difference in my aprasal of the Razor kit would be the change of the name. I dislike both and believe neither should be used by comic makers.
