After some sweating, things seem to be coming together. :)

  • Saw the graphics for BIONICLE.com's wallpapers, screensavers, building instructions, etc. today - they all look good.
  • Saw the second round of comps for BIONICLEstory.com - much improvement over the first batch, which didn't capture the essence of what we're going for. The new design is much closer to what I expected, and it's very classy to boot.
  • Finalized the new logotype for BIONICLEstory.com.
  • Got most of the content for BIONICLE.com ready to be put into the development site.
  • Saw the first 12 seconds of new CGI for 2008 products - pretty impressive.
  • Finished content for the first 160 of 200+ pages for BIONICLEstory.com. (I had lots o' help on that.)
Overall, I'm seeing a lot of movement toward an early January launch of BIONICLE.com and re-make of BIONICLEstory.com. The deadline to have everything done is ridiculously early - Dec. 12th, nearly a full month before launch. But I guess it'll be good to have it finished before the Jule holidays.

 

This is all exciting for me, since it'll be the first indication of expressing my vision of BIONICLE. I feel like I've been able to really make a difference, but in early January you guys will be able to tell how well I've done so far. I doubt that everybody will fall over themselves with joy, but I hope that people don't simply detest it. Objectively, I think it'll all be good.

* I don't know If that's going to be a Minimovie or what, but please: Put them on Quicktime to download! We love CGI videos!

* So... BionicleStory 2007 will be nothing compared to BStory 2008? (I mean, guess that's a lot more than this year)

 

So by Dec. 12th you need ALL 2008 or just Phantoka themed? Well, I want to see It! I hope I like It, and If I don't do... Well, I don't belive I won't. Thanks for the update Bink, hope you're not very busy :)

Great work, Binky. Just one thing: when you put the CGI movie online, please make a WMV one. I don't use Quicktime, it messes with my computer. Like I said before, 2008 is going to be the best year BIONICLE fans will remember.

I'm gathering or writing text and pictures and other things for BIONICLEstory.com. It's going to be quite different from what it is now. :)
