EXTREEEEEME!!! Posted November 29, 2007 Um... the chicken? Because... eggs didn't just spring up all of a sudden... the chicken evolved from something... they all had eggs, and gradually they evolved into a chicken. Well, I guess the egg did come before, if someday if they laid eggs, the chicken came from an egg.... Or, maybe whatever the chicken evolved from didn't lay eggs, and it evolved into something which did, meaning the chicken before the egg. Quote

"the egg" would come first... seeing as the chicken was not the first egg laying creature... a chicken egg however would be... the chicken, seeing as it takes a hen (chicken/hen same thing) sitting over the egg to warm it so it can hatch... an egg on it's won would freez, resulting int he chicks demise.
