Happy New Year
Well I was all set to spend New Years Eve at home watching a movie when my parents got a phone call/invitation to a New Years Eve party. So I came along as the designated driver (old enough to drive, to young to drink).
So it ended up being a Mexican New years party.
(My mom's cousin’s wife's family)
So you can guess things went a little different then I planned.
Walking into the room I could tell I was in trouble... amongst the older people I know fairly well there are 4-5 Mexican boys (who look in there later teens or young adulthood) and only 1 other girl who they aren’t related to.
I kept a safe distance by my mom and some of the older guests until the countdown arrived. We counted down and cheered said Happy New Year, toasted, and then they cleared the living room to put on some dancing music...
From there I had no escape... and I'm a dancer; it's part of my life so I thought 'oh whatever'.
After some little free bouncing dances one of the guys asks me If I know how to salsa or cha-cha... I say no because I didn't... But I catch on pretty fast. So he taught me. The song ended, he had to go change the music so I went back to talking with the cool old people.
He comes after me saying I'm supposed to still be dancing with him and drags me back into the living room.
I was quite baffled so I just went with it. but prier to the dancing I drank a fare amount of pop and non-alcoholic Cider (yummy) so my stomach got really upset to I had to sneak off...
I actually felt like I was going to throw up. So I went outside to get some air.
The evening soon calmed down and people started going home;
Then the guy I had danced with asks for my number. Which I found kinda strange...
I'm still hearing some of the events I missed when I was outside from my mom so I might have more to say here latter.
Happy New Year!!!
