Please Read..
Over the past months, I've seen something here on BZP that didn't really make me happy. Infact, it didn't make me happy at all.
It's the mocking of fellow members. Whether it's meant to be funny or not, it's really bothersome.
I also don't see how this mocking can be seen as fun. Why hurt other members' feelings just to make you feel better about yourself? Why mock new members (or 'noobs') for making mistakes, if being kind and helpful to them is much better in the end? Why drive them away if you can make them feel more welcomed instead? Can't you appreciate the hard work of staff members who try to keep this site safe and fun for everyone, including younger members?
I don't understand all of this negativity.
Yes, some fellow staffies can be pretty strict and don't appear to be a lot of fun, but behind the scenes, they're a lot of fun to talk to.
And about the "internet is serious business" thing.. If we weren't serious or didn't care about BZP, this site would've gone down in flames and spamming a long time ago. Just think about it...
When a new member makes a mistake, please, kindly direct them to the rules and guidelines. Through PM would be nice.
When a member happens to have bad spelling and grammar, deal with it. They'll learn to use proper spelling and grammar in time. There are a lot of members around here who's grammar/spelling is good enough for the new members to see as a natural example.
Please, avoid conflict by mockery and keep the peace with kindness instead. That's all I (we?) ask of you.
Thank you for listening.
Also, breaking rules on purpose = fail.
