Nothing To See Here
Today's entry includes:
*Taxis in China
*Terra Cotta Warriors
*Complaining about soliciting
*GUUUUUUNDAAAAMUUUU!
So, taking a taxi in China is cheaper than taking a taxi in America. Why? 1 USD is about 7.15 RMB (China currency). The rates still go up at the same pace, so if you take a taxi in China for 1 mile, it would cost 7.15 times less than in America. Just something there.
I went to see the Terra Cotta warriors today. You know, the clay pottery statues that are apart of Qin Shi Huang Di's tomb? It's amazing how each face is different, and the fact that there are also horses. The fact that they were made more than two thousand years ago just makes it astounding that they are still here today.
When I was at the entrance, there were people asking to be tour guides everywhere. "Pay us to explain this and that for you!". Every second a new person appeared and asked that. I just ignored them. HOWEVER, when we left the place, we had to take a route where there are shops. All around us there were people asking us to buy things. This old lady kept on following us asking us to buy pomegranates, and then my dad just gave in (because he was hungry) and bought three of them. Then the lady asked us to buy more, and then my mom got angry and yelled at her. The old lady went away. All I'm saying is, that soliciting there was like a hammer driving through my head. Tell them no, and they still try.
Lastly, GUUUUUNDAAAAMUUU! I got two Gundams today in China. They are both from the Gundam 00 series, one being Gundam Exia, the other being Gundam Kyrios. They are both 1/144 scale and High Grade. High Grade, compared to First Grade, has smoother actions and more functionality. So yeah.
Driving in China is crazy. People who are turning left just turn without consideration of the traffic coming straight. And it's dangerous for pedestrians, because some drivers don't care if you are there and force you to stay back.
