Lucy, I'm Hooome!
So I came back from my China/Japan trip. I do have to say it was pretty interesting. Japan, although it has a lot of similarities with China, it is also very different. For one thing, your drive on the left side of the road. Even on the last day of the trip, I still wasn't used to the layout. You know, staring out the window, when you suddenly realize that you are on a different side than you are used to. Kinda freaks you out.
Another thing that is different is that it is much cleaner. You could basically fry your eggs on the sidewalk without worrying about getting sick (A bit of an exaggeration, but still). It's also more organized, like how taxis in Japan can only stop at certain places, while China, you stop anywhere.
However, I found it amusing that in every restaurant that I went to in Tokyo, there was a Chinese person working there. I though my family would be stranded by the language barrier, but I guess we somehow managed to get through by speaking Chinese.
Anyways, Akihabara was amazing. It was kind of like Las Vegas with all the lights, but completely full of electronics and gizmos. There was this one store, named Yodobashi, which had basically everything that I could want. It sold from things ranging from cameras to computers to games to toys. It even sold Gundams for less than retail price (By at least 500 less yen). It was amazing.
The food was also great. But I guess I had one too many orders of sashimi, because I puked the next day. Not too great of an image for me.
It's late at night, and I'm too tired to post anymore for tonight, so stay tuned for tomorrow
