Smash Report Part 2: Tournament

So last night I went to the Gamestop Nintendo sponsered Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament.

I was the first battler in the first match. Sadly, I did not know we would have random characters. And that my luck sucked.

I was stuck with Dedede. The SLOWEST CHARACTER IN THE GAME. Needless to say, I lost, even with my short amount of practice. I needed those Dragoon Parts.

So, the Tournament started around 9:40 PM Central Time, at 9:41, I was the probably the first person eliminated in the official Tournament in the Central Timezone. WOOT! That has to count for something. Right? Right?

And honestly, i don't care that I lost. The entire thing was fun. There was much cheering, during the matches, and clapping when they were over. There were loses and there were winners, and everyone was in a great mood even after they lost. (I had a few people who actually knew that that loss wasn't my fault.) The final match went into Sudden Death, then again most matches did. Only because they were one minute battles, speed usually won.

It ended at about 10:30 and the winner was congratulated, then we waited around for another hour and half. (We tried to use the fact that it was daylight savings time to get the game early, it didn't work.)

Then, I came home ate some food, and played some Classic Mode on normal. I unlocked, Luigi and Captain Falcon early on. Yuo guys can be sure to expect a full review later this week. ^_^

(So, far I love it. :P)

UPDATE: Kohaku's Brawl Friend Code: 1976-9817-5204

*is jealous of US and Japan*

Dedede is actually pretty good though. He has an amazing chain grab.

Tell me that when your first time using him is in a Tournament, having no idea just how to perform every attack. ;)

I'm sure Dedede will have advantages in Brawls with multiple people, however in one-on-one his size is a huge problem.

Samus wins. ZSS also wins, but not as much. (Up-A is so sick as ZSS)

Do note that I don't actually own Brawl, I've been playing it at a friend's house. :P
