cags//cunninghat/2x2b Posted April 7, 2008 maj is back, though. April Fools jokes are never funny on April First, because of obviousity. Taking B-shelf down for a few minutes, though, was genius. Sadly, it wasn't down long enough for panics to start. ~D Quote Link to comment
Ecto Posted April 7, 2008 MAJ IS FREAKING BACK ... Yeah, I'd love to see someone trip me with a banana on September 27th and say "April Fools!" Quote Link to comment
mercenary vahki Posted April 7, 2008 Maj isn't that great. Not enough features. Quote Link to comment
GMan Posted April 7, 2008 Maj isn't that great. Not enough features. Ahahaha say that to the face of the people who had to make those sorts of places in order for people to demand more from them at all. I mean, really, what about "not deleting galleries at random", is that a good enough feature for you? Quote Link to comment
mercenary vahki Posted April 7, 2008 I get all of maj's features at every other host I use. Quote Link to comment

Spoony Bard Posted April 7, 2008 Flickr can only be used for photos, so that narrows down a lot. Graphics and other images cannot be used on flickr. -Omi Quote Link to comment

In fact it still does from time to time. That and it takes forever to upload images on Photobucket. -Omi Quote Link to comment

Still takes less time than Maj, due to bulk uploader. ~D Quote Link to comment
mercenary vahki Posted April 7, 2008 In my time using Photobucket, it has never crashed, and uploads more images faster than any other host. Quote Link to comment

dviddy Posted April 7, 2008 AND MAJ/BRICKSHELF LACK BULK UPLOADER ~D That's what a ZIP folder is for. You zip up all your images, upload the zipped folder to Brickshelf, and it unzips the folder and voila! All your images are uploaded at once. <<DV>> Quote Link to comment
mercenary vahki Posted April 7, 2008 In my time using Photobucket, it has never crashed, and uploads more images faster than any other host. Photobucket crashed last month. Where were you? -Omi Probably outside. Well, sites often go offline for maintenance, and seeing as Photobucket has become pretty massive, they can't afford to go down for long periods of time. Maj, on the other hand, being a relatively small host, can go down with minimal backlash. Wait, how do they make money? I see no ads... Quote Link to comment

Spoony Bard Posted April 7, 2008 Wait, how do they make money? I see no ads... Maj and Brickshelf is modded and funded by one guy. It comes from his pocket, not others. Consider it a generous thought. -Omi Quote Link to comment
GMan Posted April 8, 2008 I'd just like to remind everybody how lucky we are that we have computers, let alone that somebody set up hosting sites for us to whine about, let alone that somebody wrote the programs to allow those hosting sites to exist. Quote Link to comment
