I personally don't want to be a planet... there's a size restriction, and I don't want to be that big.

Scientists apparently "proved" it wasn't one.

 

Don't worry, in the near future they'll rule out you don't qualify as a planet, just like they did Pluto. Or something. This sciencey stuff has too many loopholes it for me to figure out. =\

They did not "prove" anything. They redefined the general definition of planet. And they invented dwarf planets, that:

  1. have formed themselves into a spherical shape
  2. have not "cleared the neighborhood" of other objects (neighborhood is cleared by pulling objects into orbit of self or having them crash into you).
I will admit though, Pluto didn't exactly have as good of a chance of clearing its neighborhood as the other planets may have, considering that it lies in the Kuiper Belt.

So, as Nukora said, Pluto is still technically a planet. What makes this better is that now Charon, Eris and Ceres can be counted as planets too. :D
