Internet Returns

Well the internet is now officially set up at our new house, so I can actually get on. Or well, kind of. I've fallen terribly, terribly behind in school and have been really busy with life stuff, and not to mention we only have one computer plugged up to the internet now. D; So I have no idea if I'll get active here again or be absent, I'll have to wait and see what happens.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me in AC15 and congratulations to BCJ and VF. :) I admit, I really didn't feel like I deserved it at all, and I wished LZ0Z or Turakii coulda' won, but I don't mean to sound ungrateful or nudge it in anyone else. So thanks guys.

I admit I haven’t really worked too much on art lately, frantic panic I say after I couldn’t find any paper and took me forever to find some (I FREAK out when I'm without a paper and pencil longer than an hour :P), and then just obviously busy. I am though, furiously trying to improve my style and try to get back in the shape of Bionicle art. If you guys have any suggestions or critique, now would be the time I guess.

So…*sighs* back to reality; but still trying to catch up with all you guys, being without internet for two weeks was a pain, so it’ll take me awhile…

Life without the interblarg?

D:

I managed a year without it.

Albiet that was in 2001 when I was still relatively new to the area, so didn't have it yet.

Congrats, LK. Now back to editing :o -Swert

Yay! So I might actually be seeing you online on MSN, then? Unless you block me, but I can't think of a reason why you'd do that. So yeah... welcome back to Internets. When you get to use, it, of course.

Welcome back, I am glad you are finally situated in a new home! Now, I of course am not as good an artist as you are, but I will do my best to help:

Draw whenever you can. I try not to go a day without drawing, maybe you could spend your spare time improving.

I really don't know what to criticize, maybe you could draw hinged mouths to make them more accurate, but I think it looks fine the way it is. You could also add little features from the sets on to your drawings.

Good to have ya back. :)

If you have wireless there, if you've got a couple hundred saved up, give one of these a whirl. It may only have a 7-inch screen and it may only have a 900MHz processor, but the Linux form it uses makes it feel a lot faster, plus the same drawback of the 7-inch screen is a plus; you can carry it almost anywhere. :)

Be sure to get this thing and leave it in if you plan to store anything though; That thing has a tiny drive(2GB for the $300 model, 4GB for the $350 model), so you'll want to get this thing and leave it in the Eee's SD card slot to increase drive size.

Also, if you want to get a more XP-ish, more familiar feel, here's a hack I found for it;

* Press Ctrl+Alt+T to open the terminal.

* Key in “sudo-i”, and hit Enter.

* Key in “apt-get update” and hit Enter.

* Key in “apt-get install ksmserver kicker” and hit Enter. I then restarted the Eee PC.

The original desktop should boot up. Click the Settings tab, and then Personalization. Change the Login Mode to Full Desktop. Restart the Eee PC again.

The Eee Pc will take about 10 seconds longer than usual to boot up, but you'll be presented with a the following Windows-ish desktop instead of the normal, tabbed desktop;

Be sure to back up to an SD card first though(About $8 for a 2GB card or $15 for a 4GB card. Or you could just back it up to the 8GB card and wipe that if it works).

Oh, also, you may want to get an external keyboard and mouse unless your willing to get used to tht smaller keyboard and trackpad.

If you’re referring about a present for my birthday, it’s on the 31st technically. :3

Even with the internet back, I haven’t been able to get on much, barely 30 minutes at a time, so you won’t see me much on MSN probably.

I’d prefer to keep my simple mouths, but I know my drawing needs more detail and set accuracy. ._.

Thanks for pointing out the offer, but I don’t think I could afford it and there is a reason my parent’s are only allowing one computer with internet access…

They don't trust you and your ability to manage your internets time? ='(

Hey, mine don't, but I find ways to scam them into thinking I am a 'good boygirl. :P

I think the reason was in the sentence before the one you quoted. :P
