Lego Ambassador
Since a few members are already making entries, I guess I should hop the bandwagon. Recently Black Six posted this. And as you can see by the very first post, I am all for it. I am eligible.
Basically if you want me to be nominated, some testimonials are needed. I am gonna base my entry the way ChocoFrogs did, since I like the way he presented it.
For The Lego Community: I have been a fan of Lego since I was young, and my first set was actually a Space set, that my dad helped me build. Been a fan of the sci-fi themes since I was a teen until I discovered Bionicle (which I slowly collect). I don't collect sets, however I collect pieces. If I like the piece, and it is rare, then I get it.
As far as my role in the Lego community, I have been a member of BZP since 2003 and been a staff member since 2004 and mainly supported Bionicle since the beginning. I try to make a name for myself, which is still slowly progressing within the community. My first Lego convention was Brickfest 2004, and have been going since. I volunteered to help moderate the Bionicle theme at Brickfest 2005 with Marc R., and I was the Bionicle Coordinator for Brickfest 2007 and 2008. Unlike a lot of AFOLs, I support Bionicle to its fullest and I make sure no one pushes it around. I am a member of NELUG, LUGNET, and Lego.com (though my presence is mainly quiet, since I have been busy with other things in life and on BZP). Since I dedicate myself to things that are important, BZP is my official Lego Group and I will not represent anyone else.
I MOC with style, and usually inspiration is the key. Though my Brickshelf is scarce of MOCs, my room just happens to be filled with them. Currently I only make custom minifigs and MOCs for my Final Fantasy Lego Project.
My Personality: I am a leader, not a follower, and I don't let anyone push me around. I am open minded with a lot of things. Anything else, is well up for you to decide.
On a side note, you should be thankful we had gold pieces for Bionicle in 2006. Funny story that is. When I was showing Kjeld and Jørgen my Toa Aurum MOC during Brickfest 2005, I noted that Lego doesn't make much gold pieces to MOC with. I still find it funny that they come out with gold pieces for Bionicle just a year later.
So if you plan to write a testimonial for me, you can elborate more on what I said and add to it. You can post them here.
