Smash Factor: Special Edition

I present to you the beginning of what may be one of the greatest Smash Bros. stages in existence, if it were to exist. A stage based on the popular Final Fantasy Series. Yes, the Series. Final Fantasy has been popular for a really long time, and this is a stage that is a tribute to that long standing popularity, and to the Retro goodness that is in the classic Final Fantasy games.

Of course one must remember that only games that were on Nintendo's consoles would be allowed. So, sorry Cloud and Balthier but you are not welcome to this party.

Before I go any further, I want to thank the two members who made this stage happen, without them, well... it wouldn't exist.

So, a big round of applause (read: mash random keys on your keyboard with your head) to Alku and Kinali! Thanks!

And now I proudly present the first part of the stage, the name!

Duro Fabula

If you haven't guessed the name is in Latin and means The Last Story. Which is a very fitting name, as you will see as we progress through the entries. As this is a Smash Factor: Special Edition, it will be broken into several parts. The amount of which is classified information. At least until it is unclassified. Anyway to make you suffer I will present the first part of the extremely cute stage.

The Airship
durofabulaairship.jpg

This is the very first part of the level, it is known as the Airship, and the neat thing is at certain points you will be riding a different Airship. Why? This part is only a transition between the many parts. Occasionally, you will battle on the Airship itself other times you will battle on platforms as the Airship flies around. (Similar to the Battleship Halberd.)

The background will be a dark star-filled sky, except when you enter a portal to each area, in which case the background starts to change into the background of your location. While in the portal (which you are thinking with) a text bubble will appear on the screen and tell you of the next stop for the stage.

When you reach the location, the Airship will warp away dropping you to the next part of the stage.

Of course it helps if you know what the next part is... but you'll have to wait till the next cuteness filled Smash Factor for that. It may be in a day, it may be in a week, it may be in a month, it may be a year. No one knows for sure... except that really super cute pony named Twilight. She's just the cutest thing ever. Her and those cute shoes.

A note from the creators of the stage:

The dark star-filled sky, represent's Final Fantasy V's "The Void", which apparently links all the Final Fantasy worlds together.
