Brawl Is Win

Not that you needed telling or anything. ;)

:alert: All control references listed here for Brawl refer to usage of the sideways Wii Remote configuration. :alert:

But while I'm at it, I might as well say that Ike is uber win in Brawl. True, he is in Radiant Dawn, but that's not the point.

Ike's sheer strength is downright disturbing. Just one attack with 2, and BAM!!! The enemy goes flying with minimal effort! And it's nice to know they did that for a Fire Emblem character!

For some reason, I still prefer Marth. True, he's nowhere near as strong as Ike, but I still prefer to play as him.

As for the music, they made excellent choices on the Fire Emblem front. It was because of the song "Strike" that I started playing, so that was a huge benefit. "Against the Black Knight" is also a classic, and "Combat Preparation" is my favourite song of its kind. To round it off, they really could've used King Zephiel's battle theme from Fuuin No Tsurugi (the game that Roy is from).

Now, as soon as Friends is over (everyone's watching it), I'll be playing more, no questions asked.

I have both Brawl and Fire Emblem: RD. I agree, Brawl Ike > RD Ike, though RD 3rd tier Ike looks more like a bad dude.

So it's not just me... :P

If you're talking design-wise, then Brawl Ike is actually 1st tier Path of Radiance Ike. ;)

Ironically, 1st tier (Ranger) Ike can't use the Ragnell like he does in Brawl. That's left to 2nd-tier Ike, the Lord form.

I certainly prefer 3rd tier Ike to RD 2nd tier as well. But in both forms, they really overdid the muscles. Really, do they want us to think that Ike takes steroids? (On that front, his voice is a dead giveaway. :P )

Now, anyone here with experience in Marth's games? Anyone?

Even though your points about Marth and Ike is true, I still prefer Snake.

P.S: I got the guide to Brawl and it said in the character rating that Ike was 6 and Marth was 9.

Fire emblem dicussion is going that way: ->

My head is right down here: :)

Get what I'm saying? :P

Uh... no.

Marth owns Snake, no questions asked. And if Marth can own something, Ike most certainly can.

Really. I've heard negative reviews of Snake's Brawl performance from friends at school.

Personally, I perfer Ike since he's the only one to get the hang of all of his attacks the fastest.

Oh and I forgot to give you this huh? ^^

It's going right over my head. :P

Ike=Snak for me. 'Course, Kirby's my fave.

You're getting really good at confusing me...

Lai likes Kirby as well, though he's playing a lot of Sheik and Meta Knight.

I like Ike for three crucial reasons:

  • He's a Fire Emblem character. That's enough to swing it for me already.
  • His SHEER INSANE POWER!!!
  • Great Aether looks and sounds better than Marth's Critical Hit, much to my amusement. GREAT.....AETHERRRRRRRRR!!!
Thanks, Tahuri! Now let's drag Kotahn here! I've got to get approvals somehow! :D

I'm working on perfecting as many characters as I can (besides Yoshi), so I've been using Sheik and the Meta more often, too. I find I'm a fan of the lighter characters, actually, because I like to hit-and-run.

LOL, I remember my brother's friend describing Ike:

"Ike? He's like Roy on steriods"

I do like Ike's power, but he's awful slow.

I'm much better with Samus, Meta Knight, or Link.

(above list was in order of best->better->ok)

BTW, what's you're SSBB code, Dlakii?

BTBTW:You get the SPECIAL BRAWLER APPROVAL SEAL!!!

I'm merely happy with Marth, Ike, and occasionally Samus. :)

That's pretty much why I like Marth. I've found that, just like Ike, he's got a bit of cheap power - just his Up+1 attack can often devastate, not to mention his Counter. B)

A real "Roy on Steroids" is Roy in his original game. Give him the Sword of Seals, and he kills stuff nicely. :P

His sheer power is great (probably exceeds Captain Falcon), but sometimes yes, you do need speed. That's why Marth is my first choice.

Samus is good, Meta Knight is great, but I think there's something missing with Link... :shrugs:

Sadly, I have none. I don't have wireless internet or a USB Adaptor, and my Wii isn't located in the house anyway (see "rumpus room" reference). :(

You has my thanks, random person.

Side note: Samus is win, but in her Zero Suit, they made her far too feminine. :???:

Yes, FEMININE.

You'd think Raka was on the design team...

:P

I much prefer normal Samus.
