Ecto Posted July 7, 2008 ...regardless of how "big name" he is, this is still a papularity contest. I want an annonymous contest NOW. *upon which ecto realizes that wouldn't work* Quote Link to comment

I want an annonymous contest NOW. *upon which ecto realizes that wouldn't work* it could, PM your entries to the host, then they put them up nameless. Plus, there's always personal style, photography style, picture backdrop, mass-PMs, etc. An anonymous contest has been debated to death in the past, and the merits do not outweigh the flaws. And look at many of the past contests. I can assure you that I was not so popular when I won 7, and no one had heard of Natha when he won 15. Really, a lot of members aren't famous until after they win a contest, and many who are famous beforehand wait eons to win their first one (SHANNY). And I say again: There's a reason most popular MOCists are popular. Because they're the best. You want to be too? Try harder. Quote Link to comment
Zipper Posted July 8, 2008 Don't forget the 'iffin reputation that still sticks with them longer than the quality of their MOCs, DV. Quote Link to comment
