I had to go shopping for some things today, so I went to Rite Aid and found this for sale at 5 bucks!

At last I have a little bit more brown, maybe now I can actually build another MoC with brown. To date I have only ONE build with brown parts. They also had some rhotuka spinner packs but I have a ton of those anyway.

You found him!? :OMG:

Seriously, I haven't seen any old sets since they I saw a Pahrak Kal at Wal-Mart for $5, but I didn't buy it. And brown was one of the best colors too, don't know why they had to replace it with yellow.

Great luck.

Lyichir and I found one of those sometime in 2006, or maybe 2007. Got it as well as a Vakama Hordika and Matau Hordika.

In fact, we've gotten a number of out-of-date brown sets in the past. I'm not sure how many Pahrak Va we have, and we have at least one extra Pouks which I'm sure will prove useful eventually.

The fact that you find so many of these in stores is perhaps the best evidence that no, Greg and LEGO aren't lying to you or out to get you. Brown sets didn't sell as well as others. It's amazing how long people were willing to believe that "lol everyone luvs brown sets so they sold well," or worse "the only reason brown sets didn't sell was because they were fat!" I actually encountered someone way back when who insisted on the latter-- never mind that the sets I mentioned finding in stores late were all clone sets and no fatter than their better selling comrades.

Ah... the golden days of counternoobishness... Don't let me imply that I don't love brown sets; I love them very much. But it's just good to look back at how silly some people were about them and other lost traits of BIONICLE.
