It's contest time!

Build A Vehicle!

Contest Goal: Create a vehicle for a Toamod to ride, similar to this year's vehicle sets, or the vehicles of yesteryear, like the Ussanui and Boxor.

Rules:

1. Have fun. :)

2. There is a maximum of 25% system pieces allowed in the entry MoC.

3. Do not go and whine about "unfairness" or anything else about another person's entry. If you have a concern with it, or think it might be breaking a rule, PM or IM me with your concern, don't make a big show out of it.

4. Be nice, play fair. Don't flame another entrant or their entry.

5. One entry per person.

6. The rider must NOT be custom. It must be a Toamod.

7. The vehicle can be anything from a car to a speeder bike, just use your imagination. However, it needs to look like a vehicle. Don't just take a handful of rods and angled connectors and call it a pogo stick. :P

7a. Mechs and the like do not count as vehicles. So no Exo-Toa 2.0 or the like.

8. The contest entry period begins at 7:30 PM, EST, July 28, 2008, and ends on August 20th, at 11:00 PM EST.

9. Polls will be posted within a few days of the end of the entry period.

EDIT: New deadline, since I forgot last night.

The new deadline is now tomorrow at eleven PM.

Deadline has been pushed back once more. You now have until 11:59 PM, Friday, August 22nd.

May I pleaaaaase make a pogo stick?

If you make a Sooper Pogo Stick, yes. But not a wimpy one consisting of a total of about fifteen pieces.

Uh... Boxor could be considered an Exo-Toa for Matoran...

I've always seen the Boxor as more of a tank than a mech. So it counts as a vehicle.

Ah, ok.

Funny, I was planning on designing a T- vehicle anyway...

Do custom torsos count? ... I guess not... *Sighs* What about legs that have to be custom pieces at the top becaue you've run out of the long pieces?

PM me a pic and I'll judge from there.

Interesting, I'll consider entering. I have 34 PBZPs I need to finish, but I think I can manage.

Can my MOC be an Ignika revamp with a different vehicle?

If the Ignika has a different body, but not custom, yes. This means either a non-Inika body with the same colorscheme, a non-Inika body with a different colorscheme, or an Inika body with a different colorscheme.

Remind me again what said "toamod" is?

i cant help being a noob!

A Toamod is a Bionicle construction that uses the same construction as a Toa set. An Inikamod uses the same construction as the general Inika build. A Metrumod uses the core build of a Toa Metru. A few deviances are acceptable, such as limb pieces, but if it has custom limbs, then it's not a Toamod.

Interesting...I'm inspired to build a vehicle...

I stopped buying Bionicle around early '06, but I still MOC. I have all Toa from '01-'04, and a few pieces for an Inikamod. Will Mata/Nuvamods count? They're Toa, but they're barely poseable. It's just easier for me.

If not, I'll probably go with a Metrumod, since (in my opinion) they look the best.

Matamods are acceptable, yes.

Aw man, I just thought of an awesome vehicle... but it requires parts I don't have that are quite expensive and other stuff. Like time.

Ah well... =/

Edit: Just read a new rule. I don't think my idea would work anyway... it's like a walker with treads...

Well, is it more towards the Boxor or Exo-Toa end of the spectrum? As I label the Boxor more of a tank than a mech, so if it's closer to the Boxor than the Exo-Toa, it'd be fine, if you manage to get the parts.

K, I've got the base for my vehicle, and building a Nuvamod is very easy, so I don't think I'll have too much trouble.

Dang. I completely missed the "fits a toamod" part. Oh well. It might fit a toamod. If it doesn't I'll make a different MOC.
