The Alchemyst Posted August 14, 2008 Yes. Some Manga/Anime is good. I don't like many of them, but personally, a few are very good with idea and execution. It's a very wide genre. Case Closed=Win And it doesn't have big headed 3D models. o.O Code Lyoko Scared me the first time I saw it. And for some reason, Avatar just didn't appeal to me. EDIT: Actually K-T hit it dead on. I don't even watch any Anime, I just read Manga. Anime actually is corny and never as good as the Original Manga. =\ [-The Alchemyst-] Quote Link to comment

The Alchemyst Posted August 14, 2008 Crab-Octopuses and Things that look like Capsule Time Bombs are not win. And I never got the storyline, (when I did watch like a few episodes with one of my friends who was in to it). I mean a computer/virus/thing could somehow take over humans? o.O Why didn't that just do that for all the humans and kill the little kids I'm going to look at the Wikipedia Plot Summary, to see what it is about, right now. It got sooo darn boring and long by the 7th Volume or so, I never finished that silly series. I'm sure that one of you know about Death Note. 'Cause that is the biggest WIN related to manga that you'll ever hear of. NO FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST Never bothered to read that one. Case Closed is win. Comment Expired Posted August 14, 2008 Moe? I do so know what that be. Moe (萌え, Moe? /mo'e/, pronounced "mo-eh" literally "budding", as with a plant) is a Japanese slang word originally referring to love for characters in video games or anime and manga. For example, 眼鏡っ娘萌え, meganekko-moe, "glasses-girl moe", describes a person who is attracted to fictional characters with eyeglasses. The term has come to be used as a general term for a hobby, enthusiasm, or fetish (non-sexual). For instance, 鉄道萌え, tetsudō-moe, "train moe", is simply a passionate interest in trains. Well of course you would know ... ALSO STILL FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BETTER THAN LUCKY STAR LIES FOOL LUCKY STAR IS AWESOME NO FMA Also that's not the Moe I meant. To better elicit a moe emotional response with the audience for a certain character, a mangaka or animator will sometimes use certain traits in the character's design. The most common features include youthfulness as a physical trait (younger age or pigtails) or as an emotional trait such as a naive or innocent outlook, a child-like personality, or some obvious sympathetic weakness the character works hard to correct (extreme clumsiness or a life-threatening disease) but never really succeeds to get rid of. And yes I can copy from Wikipedia too Quote Link to comment
Comment Expired Posted August 15, 2008 But that's a specific part of Moe in general. AND LUCKY STAR > FMA AMATEUR Quote Link to comment
