Here is part one.

Picking up the bottom half of my top 10, we start off with...

6. Florida Gators

Tebow's last year? Possibly so, after already wrapping up the Heisman in his sophomore year, Tim Tebow returns with another talented Gator squad to lead his team into the 2008 season with high expectations after an average 9-4 season in which many players were young and inexperienced. That squad returns with a year under their belt in the toughest conference this past decade, and a slightly easier schedule, although that trip to SEC East opponent, Georgia, looks like it will have major implications in the national title race. If Florida has any hopes of being a title contender, they must be the team that can knock off Georgia, while run the table in the SEC for at least a 12-1 regular season. If they can manage that, they should easily find themselves in the national title game in January.

Week 1 Game: Hawaii @ Florida: PREDICTION: Florida wins 48-3

7. West Virginia Mountaineers

2 words, offensive juggernaut. With Pat White and Joel Devine leading what is considered the scariest offense on the eastern coast, the Mountaineers look to lock up their 3rd Big East title in 4 years. Even with a new coach, nothing changes as the offensive coordinator took over the vacant spot left by Rich Rodriguez's bolt for Michigan. This conference is West Virginia's to lose, although they do have back to back trips against Louisville and Pittsburgh, West Virginia has the luxury of hosting South Florida in conference play. There are two games to circle on the calender though for West Virginia, the road trip to Colorado and a highly anticipated match up with Auburn, whom is making a rare far road trip. West Virginia has the tools to get to the national title, but being in a weak conference, it would take more than just running the table for them, they would need a lot of teams above them to fall if they want any hope of getting into the big game.

Week 1 Game: Villanova @ West Virginia: PREDICTION: West Virginia wins 63-10

8. Oklahoma Sooners

Ugh. Whether I like it or not, they are this good. A mammoth offensive line returns for the sooners, along with Sam Bradford, who broke many NCAA Freshman passing records, along with explosive running back DeMarco Murray. Despite the departure of Malcolm Kelly, the offense will remain good. As always, the matchup with the Texas is seemingly the road to the national championship and this year is no different. The advantage Oklahoma gets is that it avoids road trips to its tougher conference opponents, getting Kansas and Texas Tech at home. They go undefeated, they will be in the title game without a question, for this conference is the toughest in the country next to the SEC.

Week 1 Game: Chattanooga @ Oklahoma: PREDICTION: Oklahoma wins 59-0

9. Auburn Tigers

A new offense has been put in for Auburn to fully utilize its best players, which was shown during their bowl game. Even with a new starting quarterback, the Tiger defense will carry the team while the quarterback is broken in. Good thing is that the schedule plays into Auburn's hands this year, getting to host LSU, Tennessee, and Georgia, but still has to take road trips to cross-state rival, Alabama and to West Virginia, a game that can surely mix things up in the national title race. As stated above, win the SEC, you are in the national championship game. Same goes to Auburn.

Week 1 Game: Louisiana-Monroe @ Auburn: PREDICTION: Auburn wins 52-3

10. Clemson Tigers

The 3rd team to be ranked with Tigers as a mascot? Seems the theme this year is to stay in the hunt. And this year looks to be the year where Clemson finally gets a shot at the big prize. With a loaded offense and a talented defense, Clemson looks to be the one team in the ACC that has any hopes to get into the title game. If Clemson wants any serious consideration, they will have to be dominant and consistent week in and week out, because one loss on their schedule will eliminate them completely, with the upper teams looking to keep pace in tougher conferences where one loss is excusable. Clemson only has two tests, their season opener against Alabama and a road trip to Wake Forest, who is slowly becoming an ACC power.

Week 1 Game: Alabama @ Clemson: PREDICTION: Clemson wins 27-14
