Time Machine Me Confusing You Entry posted by Nukora August 29, 2008 245 views Share
 Followers 0 If a time machine is ever invented, it would eventually get to the point where it was invented in Year 0.
Dark Wanderer Posted August 29, 2008 Time machines, by their very nature, are invented along the time stream in the same instant. And then the whole paradox starts off, because if there was time travel, why build a time machine? Therefore, the inventor doesn't build one and everything goes wacko. So time machines are only useful for going forwards and back to your starting point. Quote Link to comment
The Alchemyst Posted August 30, 2008 Ah, the thing is that there are time machines and you can go back in time. But no matter what you do, you cannot change the past and expect to come back to a different world! Why? There are multiple outcomes for every choice, and there are infinite amount of different, parallel universes, based on choices. They branch off! What you did was already done in a different universe, so what you did will create that. But you'll go back to yours. [-The Alchemyst-] Quote Link to comment

Lluvio Posted September 2, 2008 Depends. Which timeline are we speaking of? Also, for an uncalled for idea, how do we know that the world didn't just start a minute ago? We could've been created with our memories. Quote Link to comment
