That time of 3 months again. Where I rant about a certain mag I get in those kind of intervals.
First off, and the only real reason why I get the magazines now, there was Endgame. Oh, it's just so great to have the comic in hand. Best decision LEGO Australia has ever made to get the comics. Not that they've had alot of good decisions.
There's the usual 25 word contest, this time for a Speed Racer set. Um, right. I was kinda hoping for a BIONICLE Vehicles contest. Hint hint.
There's also a sticker and flyer for the FIRST Lego League Australia, so anyone in Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Perth, Sydney and Regional Queensland who is interested in that sort of thing, go to primefll.com.au. There is also some Christmas LEGO Gift Tag Stickers, which are nice and corny.
The magazine itself has an Agents comic (which doesn't feature Dr. Inferno ), an agents related Spot the Differences (wonder what they are!), Creations that might be cool (actually, some are, and no collections this time, so woo), Racers Dot to Dot, City Coast Guard maze thingy, a look at the Clone Wars Minifigs, in particular the extra attachments for Captain Rex, feature on Takanuva and the Rockoh T3 (weirdest pairing yet), with trivia and brainteasers, instructions for the Redbird VTOL Aero-Car for Robin, a spot the strange stuff Mini Racers thing and a Christmas wishlist, which suggests that the AT-TE, Axalara T9, Mobile Command Centre, CITY Police Station, Technic Excavator and CITY Coast Guard Truck with Speed Boat should be on your list. Well, they're not. Too bad.
Even though one of them has Dr. Inferno.
And on the back is a posterish thing for the Republic Gunship, which has won the 2008 Boys Licensed Product of the Year in Australia(nothing on the 2002 version, if I say so myself), and claims to be availble all across the galaxy. Wasn't aware there was LEGO stores across the galaxy.
Overall, a very mediocre magazine. Bleh.
BUT WAIT! There's more! To this entry!
Hearken back to December Last year. I have received my 40th LEGO Magazine, meaning I've been with the club for 10 years. I promised I'd take a picture of all the magazines, right? Well, I might do that, but for now I thought I'd take you on a trip through time and space to reawaken memories of LEGO past and actually show you the magazines over the next 40 entries! Yes, you should be excited!
This first issue I got (not in the mail, mind you, this was at a giveaway), features the LEGO lines Insectoids, Adventurers, Mindstorms, Technic, Aquazone, and Res-Q. It is December 1998.
