$1.29

So as I was on my way home from school, I noticed something that must be a miracle. Gas (at that station, maybe more) up here is $1.29. Other stations is like $2.30-2.40.

So yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Gas has slowly trickled down to 2.31 around here. I hope what you saw is a sign of things to come.

To think...I remember when it was a big deal to see gas break $2. Heck, I think I was around when it was breaking a $1.

Kinda ironic in a way.

Even 2.40 is nice. Here it's closer to 2.60 (Was 3.00 about a month ago). Doesn't effect me, but, boy, do my parents get mad about the price of gas.

We're paying 89.4 cents per litre. Now the converter is telling me that's equal to $3.38/gallon, but I doubt that's correct.

Although, being a member of Calgary Co-op, I get approx. 6.5 cents back, so I'm paying 82.9 at the pump.

That's probably correct, Makaru.

Gasoline is typically 50%-70% higher in Canada than it is in the U.S., primarily because of additional Canadian federal taxes on the fuel.

Which is rediculous since A. the west has an oil-based economy and b. we drill it out of our own back yard (practically). But them's the breaks, I suppose.
