The main thing that got rid of my shyness was that I met some cool people that actively pursued to get to know me, rather than the other way, which really helped to break the shell. Some minor struggles with paranoia later, I'd say I'm pretty non-shy.

Good luck. It's going to be a lot of work, and I'm not even sure it can be done without help from other people around you.

Shy is a four letter word, it really is.

Or rather, it becomes one when you let it go too far and wind up being ANGRY and HURT by it.

Kick shyness to the curb, especially when being confronted by a person who's not being shy even one bit.

KILL "shy". Your life will be so, so much better for it.
