Gotta love the animation. And let's face it, closed endings are ten times better than ones that make you wonder if the producers will start up again. The way this ended, you could tell that there was no way to successfully continue it. So I'm quite pleased.

Also, things exploded. A lot of things. So by that logic, movie = win.

FMA? It went 50+ episodes. That's a long healthy life for an anime.

The movie isn't quite as good as the series as a whole. There was a lot of talking comparred to the level of action. In the series, over the course of 50 hours, that works. In the course of about two hours it gets a bit wearing.

I did like the conclusion, and how it fit in with the story of the series...but something just seemed off.

There may not have been a lot of action but what they did have was great.

I also like how much of it was based on true events, at least in our world.
