I think we've all experienced it: You say something intended to be sarcastic and funny, and the other person takes it the wrong way and attacks you, or no-one gets it. There is no efficient way to show sarcasm on the internet. That is what I plan to change, with your help! Post ideas to show sarcasm correctly on the internet, and put this in your signature to spread the word:

my idea to show it is to put percent signs (%) around sarcastic phrases, but I don't know how efficient that would be. Give suggestions, and we'll decide on an idea and spread the word!

I'd like a sarcasm tag that has an explanation of the phrase if you scroll over it. Of course, it'll no longer be a funny, witty comment... but nobody will take it the wrong way. :unsure:

It would stay a funny, witty comment if you just had some way of showing it's sarcasm without actually saying the meaning. Then people just treat it like someone's saying it out loud.

That's a great acronym you have there!

I dunno. I just wanted to say that. Anyway, surely by now people should realise the internet is NOT serious business, so nearly EVERYTHING is sarcasm. :P

Besides, sarcasm is not always easy to tell in real life either. Maybe we should hold up a sign everytime we say something sarcastic.
