Yesterday was the first day of the NHL regular season and it was great. It's very nice having hockey back. My Maple Leafs lost their game, but they still played very well. The only reason they lost was because the opponents goaltender was phenomenal.

While I'm on the topic of goalies, did anyone see that pass by Turco in OT in the Stars-Avs game? Woah, that was sweet. That goalie can pass just as good as any skater in the NHL. And the player on the receiving end of that pass capitalized well, too. He roofed that baby.

And again, while I'm on the topic of "roofing it", did anyone see that move by Danny Briere in the shootout in the Slugs-Canes game? That was pretty slick-looking too.

Well, my Maple Leafs are back in action again tonight against the same team. Hopefully we'll win this time!
