The NHL lockout has come, at long last, to an end (yes this is old news but I forgot to make a blog post about it) I, however, will not be watching any hockey until October 2013, because I'm stubborn and I don't want to support a league that treats its fans so poorly. I am Canadian, in case you didn't know, and hockey is in my blood. In my very soul. Needless to say, this is heartrending. *tears* #staystrong #gocanucksgo (I swear though if the Canucks win the Cup this year I will die because I won't get to see it) #goeyrugo

So this can be for any type of hockey! The NHL and thier teams! My favorite team is the Penguins! Any Ice Hockey you play...Any Inline (Rollerblading) Hockey you play...Or any dekhockey (ball hockey when you play in shoes) So as I said...My favorite NHL team is the Pittsburgh Penguins, and I think they're going to be amazing once Orpik, Malkin, Crosby and Jeffery are back!! I don't play ice hockey as I'm a weak ice skater, but I play inline for my school districts middle school team! (Even though I'm homeschooled) We are currently 1-0-1-0 (One win, no losses, one tie and no OT losses) I also play dekhockey! It really helps my stickhandling! We are 7-4 and 0-2 without me!! So yeah, you guys can discuss anything hockey pretty much.

Wow, yesterday my Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Ottawa Senators, one of the best teams in the NHL, 6-0. Now that's sweet revenge. Last year the Senators beat us seven out of eight times and thumped us three times. In other big NHL news, Marc-Andre Fleury, the Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender, was the first star as the Penguins beat the Flyers 4-0. Not a bad start for those guys. The Edmonton Oilers beat the Calgary Flames 3-1 in the first Battle of Alberta this season. In other big news, DiPietro, his new fifteen-year contract and the New York Islanders "flunked" (Lol, I love that word) in a 6-3 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes. Also Martin Havlat had four points in his Chicago devue as his team beat the Nashville Predators 8-6, and Brendan Shanahan hit the 600 goal mark of his career. And game scores from October 6th... New Jersey 4, Carolina 0. Vancouver 3, Columbus 2 (Overtime). Los Angeles 3, Anaheim 4. Boston 3, Florida 8. Montreal 4, Buffalo 5 (Shootout). I'm now looking forward to tomorrow night, as my Maple Leafs take on the Montreal Canadians in the first Hockey Night in Canada of the season. B) Go Leafs Go! ~Wisey

Two days from now the NHL regular season is going to be underway! I couldn't be more excited if I was going to Mexico tomorrow. Hopefully my Maple Leafs will do a tad better than they did last season. Missing the playoffs is a real bummer. Go Leafs Go! ~Wisey

Yesterday was the first day of the NHL regular season and it was great. It's very nice having hockey back. My Maple Leafs lost their game, but they still played very well. The only reason they lost was because the opponents goaltender was phenomenal. While I'm on the topic of goalies, did anyone see that pass by Turco in OT in the Stars-Avs game? Woah, that was sweet. That goalie can pass just as good as any skater in the NHL. And the player on the receiving end of that pass capitalized well, too. He roofed that baby. And again, while I'm on the topic of "roofing it", did anyone see that move by Danny Briere in the shootout in the Slugs-Canes game? That was pretty slick-looking too. Well, my Maple Leafs are back in action again tonight against the same team. Hopefully we'll win this time! Go Leafs Go! ~Wisey
