Everyone is a bad driver when they first start. The best advice I can give you is to not get frustrated when your parents yell at you for making mistakes. It's for your own good.

Don't feel too bad. I didn't even have my permit until I was 18. And for all my permit time and the first six months of my license, no radio. I only just now passed that six-month mark. I still haven't used the radio though...

It's ok. I actually had to renew my permit......which evidently never happens. Then, I got my license this past spring, but I still tend to avoid driving and instead mooch rides off of friends with cars, bike, or take public transportation.

One thing that I did when I was practicing driving was that I asked my aunt to teach me to drive, which was a great idea, as my dad always flinched and began yelling every time I started to hit the gas or break pedal. I don't really know why having my aunt teach me helped so much, maybe it has to do with the fact that I don't live with her or what, but it made practicing a lot less stressful.

I presume that you're taking a driver's ed course as well?
