Apparently they're blue, but all I see are black, must be my mental filter.

One must train hard in the art of shutting out everything around him...not hearing it, not seeing it, not smelling it, no sense of it left at all, not even knowing that it is there.

Useful for many purposes, of course, including the given, as well as annoying kids, the Trade channel on WoW, and people doing stupid things on TV.
