Resolution is terrible, but you can make out "Kyoto Anime-shon" on the last line of the Staff credits.

 

So I guess it's final, K-On is KyoAni's spring show. Not that they can't work on two shows at once (they're doing so this season) but Munto TV (which actually has a stupidly long full name) is basically an OVA remake... makes the news of Haruhi S2 even less likely.

 

I'm still holding out on the fact that, well, they devoted the whole darned front cover of Newtype to the announcement. They've got to have something to show.

 

Three days. Then we shall see.

 

Also, the lack of Rideback 04 subs has left me in despair.

True... but the mixed up news is annoying.

 

This would be so much easier if I could read Japanese. >> I have little hope for Kanji without formal lessons though. Writing and recognizing is not a problem (because of my Chinese background) so much as the different readings and meanings are. Not to mention Wikipedia's grammar articles are not user friendly at all. It's like, okay you mentioned "-ku" as being an infinitive here, now tell me about the darned infinitive. I mean, could you start from the basics before just throwing up a bunch of tables that build off concepts I don't know?

 

... sorry, will curtail off-topic rant before it gets worse.

Image is a leaked photo (probably cell phone) from the new issue of Newtype... of the article that announces the staff for the new spring anime K-On! which is apparently based on a 4koma about a bunch of girls with no musical talent trying to save their school's music club.

 

In any case based on the art style in promo images people speculated this was either being done by KyoAni or A1. And the article confirms it's being done by KyoAni, which makes it less likely that KyoAni will also be doing Haruhi S2 this spring as well...

 

Heck, translations of the leaked articles on Haruhi seem to say flat out, it's just a rerun. :\ Will still wait for full, high-quality scans, but I'm not exactly hopeful.

 

(how can you recognize an art style from such a small clipping? o_O)

What for Rideback 04?

 

They're out. Not by I-Z, though... I think some random other group decided to basically give everyone a kick in the butt to get this show done, so they released subs for the episode under the name "FANSUBBING TAKEN SERIOUSLY." *shrug* I watched it, and it's legit.
