Lucy, I'm Home!
Time for a very good reality check.
School's almost out for me. Imagine that - 3 days, 3 more days, and I'm unofficially out of the polytechnic. The only next thing for me is part-time work at my past internship company (They found a nice Japanese restaurant near the workplace and promise me a trip!) and waiting for the dreaded results. I've the feeling I've done poorly for this semester, but I put full faith in my effort that things would come out all right.
More things - I'm now a *somehow can't be mentioned* musician. Yep. Serious. I guess the term would only be true if I uploaded an original song as a *also somehow can't be mentioned* musician, and I have. My terrible Year 2 assignment. Now there are other stuffs there too, and I did enjoy crafting the whole page. Now I know that linking that to here is going to be dangerous, so whoever who is willing to be a critic and get their ears slaughtered, PM me. Ye've been warned. Omi, I would recommend you wait till I put up a piano instrumental before you go see. XD
Would I go back to epic writing? I think I would, but slowly. My mind is blunt, having been burnt out quite quickly recently. I really want to continue with Something For The Girls, and I'm thinking of exploring some short stories.
And as for life, I have to go overseas to study. I have to leave Asia for bigger lands - USA or UK. If I go to the US, I'd be heading for Berklee College of Music in Boston, pursuing a Music Production and Engineering degree for 4 years. My mum is all for me going there. If I go to the UK, I'd be heading under a scholarship to Keele University in Staffordshire, to pursue a degree of Music and Music Technology for 2 years. My dad is all for me going there.
I'm happy going eitherway.
Now I wonder - who has heard of those two places? I'm more keen of hearing about the UK one - it seems like no one has heard of this university before. Berklee is too famous for its own good - people confuse it with UC Berkley and think I'm going to Computer Science! Yeah, like I'm that smart.
What else... I want an Nintendo DS Lite, but my mum forbade me from possessing any game as it's a 'waste of my time'. I'm partial to agree, but the idea of keeping a nintendog Shetland Sheepdog puppy, my own farm in Rune Factory 2 or Harvest Moon, and my own KORG DS-10 synthesizer.... Mummy...
And I'm practising 'Melodies of Life' to no end. It's a hard piece to play! I wonder if that'll get me through the Berklee auditions. It's very, very, very *very to the square of infinity of beyond* hard to get accepted into Berklee.
And a Bionicle-based song? Possible. I'm terribly far behind in the storyline - Karda-Nui and Mistika, but only sticking to Mata Nui and Metru Nui - so I'm opting to be happy just sitting behind and reading old books. They still hold a special place in my heart and imagination.
Till another update,
-<dd>
