Guest kopakanuva13 Posted February 18, 2009 I know, right? ;^; I'm like the biggest vampire fan ever but ever since Twilight, people no longer associate my obsession with, say, Dracula and 30 Days of Night, but immediately think "sparkly". <_> Quote Link to comment
cags//cunninghat/2x2b Posted February 18, 2009 At least it's a good way to distinguish the cullable from the uncullable. Quote Link to comment
ChocolateFrogs Posted February 18, 2009 It's just like no longer being able to say "cake" without someone saying it's a lie... But yeah, I know what you mean. I was having a semi-serious conversation about vampires and then somebody comes in and immediately starts talking about Twilight, ruining my entire point and having the conversation spiral downward. *sigh* Van Helsing FTW. -CF Quote Link to comment
ChocolateFrogs Posted February 18, 2009 Edit: Hey look the server burped and upchucked a double post. Oops.... Quote Link to comment
Shadow Kurahk Posted February 18, 2009 Twilight fans say that Meyer's vampires make more sense than Bram Stoker or Ann Rice. -SK Quote Link to comment

Neaku Posted February 18, 2009 It's just like no longer being able to say "cake" without someone saying it's a lie... But that is only on the internets. And vampires used to have a good reputation, now.... =[ Quote Link to comment
Arch-Angel Posted February 18, 2009 Hey, if I run out of conversation topics with a girl I wanna hook up with, Edward Cullen is my backup plan. I just have to get the girl to see how I shine better than Mr. Tall, Immortal, and Pale over there. ~AA Quote Link to comment

Fictional Edward is better in every way than you or I can ever hope to be. We. Can't. Compete. D* Quote Link to comment

I loved Bram Stoker's original novel. A true classic. ChocolateFrogs Posted February 19, 2009 This one friend has a "flair" if you know what I mean with a Harry Potter > Twilight to it. I was happy to see that. And there are some who aren't obsessive. They're around. And sane. -CF Quote Link to comment

Turakii #1 Lavasurfer Posted February 19, 2009 What about pirates? It feels like it wasn't until Disney introduced them to the Caribbean that people started liking them. Turakii Quote Link to comment

ChocolateFrogs Posted February 19, 2009 What about pirates? It feels like it wasn't until Disney introduced them to the Caribbean that people started liking them. Turakii Oh, pirates have been plenty cool before Disney. Jack Sparrow just made them even more awesome. Because look at the Lego Pirates--they're cool and don't need Disney to be popular. They've been around since 1992 and before and are making a comeback long after the latest Pirates movie came out. -CF Edit: And Hanz Zimmer helped too. He's redefined pirate music. (Though to be fair he had Klaus Badelt do the first movie since he couldn't. So he helped too.) Quote Link to comment
Shadow Kurahk Posted February 19, 2009 Did you know that there's a grammar error in the first book? Just goes to show how cheap that editor of her's is. XD -SK Quote Link to comment
ChocolateFrogs Posted February 23, 2009 Oh, there is slight hope. Most of the girls at the Anime Convention I was just at didn't like Edward. Said he wasn't a "real" vampire that was all cool and stuff. Again, hope! -CF Quote Link to comment
Shadow-Nui Posted February 24, 2009 My friends and I were planning to check out all the Twilight books out of our school library, just so the Twilight SUPAHFANS can check them out. Sadly, they were already all checked out. Quote Link to comment
