Boston Billiards, an iconic pub/pool hall has shut down. The other Boston Billiards locations in New England are still open and running, but the Boston Billiards in Boston is -gone-.

 

Bought out by a place just down the street, and they specialize in bowling. So now there are going to be two of the same places in very close proximity where you can bowl and drink. And that is stupid.

Oh, and don't be surprised if, while being bought out, a place that iconic hasn't reopened elsewhere nearby.

You never know but that's something a phone call can uncover.

One of the few things I look for in a general location is that I can drink in it.

 

That said I have absolutely nothing to complain about since I'm still in the middle of nowhere to begin with.

Yeah, it seems silly to be drinking while you're trying to bowl, doesn't it?
